I read only two of her books - Keeping Faith and The Pact. As you know
I posted a review of The Pact. Both books were exceedingly depressing
affairs. I have not read My Sister's Keeper but based on people I know
who saw the movie they all said - beyond belief depressing - so I have
a feeling the book is not going to be a cheery read.

She is a good writer and seems semi-prolific so has anyone here read
anything cheery by her or are they all rather depressing novels. Its
rare I am in the mood for a depressing read so I know when I feel like
a depressinig novel just read her books - she is a very good writer from
the two novels I read.

My Sister's Keeper is a superbly written novel but I found it to be extremely depressing. The ending haunted me for weeks after I had finished the book.

Mercy was very depressing (and frustrating) as well. Well-written, but I did not like the lead characters or their drama at all
