Thanks so much for the heads-up, annie! She should post that MBM excerpt up on her site ASAP...promotion, promotion, promotion! wink und grin

And holy smokes about Bea's story! "Tortured and sexually frustrated" is what LK does best!

Hi Meg,

I'm sure we will get an excerpt soon of MBM on her site, maybe in Feb.

But I was checking Amazon and it looks like we will get 3 NEW LK stories this year:

http://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Friday-Harbor-Lisa-Kleypas/dp/1441847618/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1264392277&sr=1-1

Christmas Eve in Friday Harbour out November 2010! Can't wait to learn more. Just so excited to be getting so many stories this year.

Sorry for the double post, but I was able to find out more about the November release www.amazon.co.uk

*****spoiler****

The Friday Harbor series of contemporary romance/women's fiction novels is set in San Juan Island just off of the Washington State Coast. The San Juan Island setting is romantic and varied, with rocky shores, sandy beaches, rich woodlands and pasture land, and the prosperous Friday Harbor area. The series is centered around the Nolan family, consisting of two brothers and a sister, the owners of an island vineyard and restaurant. The Nolans' mother Jessica has just passed away, and a mysterious stranger attends the funeral. He reveals that he is an illegitimate child Jessica had given birth to, and given up for adoption, before she married. This family secret leads to many new questions and challenges, which test the bonds of love and loyalty, and ultimately show the Nolans what family is all about

Oooh, I do love me some grand, sweeping family drama (as long as it's not my own, that is Wink ) with some steamy romance thrown in.

Hi, everyone. Amazon.com has the description for MBM posted:

"Leo Hathaway must marry and produce an heir within a year to save his family home. Catherine Marks is intriguing and infernally tempting but hides a secret that could utterly destroy her. Can two wary lovers find a way to banish the shadows and give in to their desires?"

Extremely interesting that Leo has to marry and reproduce to keep the estate. Wonder if that's by law and he was always on a timetable or if the Hathaways are having legal trouble?

Based on the description alone, I think this will be like "Devil in Winter" and TMAT in that the couple marries out of necessity (Leo needs a wife and heir and Cat needs protection) and then grows into their love. I adore that kind of story! Very Happy

I can't imagine a situation where that would be the case legally. It will be interesting to see what she has dreamed up....

I'd love to think all the Hathaways are conspiring to get them together... Wink

That was my first thought, too. If the home was entailed, it's impossible; if it wasn't, it's still unreasonable.

It can often take more than 3 months for a woman to become pregnant, and even if she does become pregnant and doesn't miscarry, there's no guarantee that child will be male.

I seem to remember reading in Mine Til Midnight a little passage that stated there was still the possiblity of family members disputing Leo's getting the title and estate because their may have been others closer in line but where afraid to claim because it was jinxed. I remember thinking that would come up again later in the series. So it could have something to do with that.

Good catch, lynette!

Once the other relatives see that Ramsay estate is rich and productive and that Leo still isn't dead from a curse, they're coming out of the woodwork to claim the title. Can't wait! Very Happy

I found the cover for the book Smile I'm so excited she's getting back to back releases for the last two books.
