I have to read Laurie Halse Anderson's Wintergirls for my teen girls' book club this week. Gorgeous writing so far. Just finished Barbara Metzger's The Bargain Bride, which was wonderful and worthy. Dedicated to the late Edith Layton and refs to her throughout. Sweet. To follow it, I'm reading Edith Layton's last book, To Love a Wicked Lord.

Ran out yesterday and purchased Kate Moore's To Tempt a Saint, praying for a decent read after a lot of so-so reads lately. My prayers were answered! I can't put it down.

Connie Mason's Highland Warrior. I've liked her other books, so I am hoping this one is just as good.

I am reading Wicked, Sinful Nights by Julia Latham. After that I plan on reading The Truth About Lord Stoneville by Sabrina Jeffries.

I am re-starting Meredith Duran´s Bound by Your Touch. I began it a couple of months ago, but somehow lost my interest after three chapters. Now I am hooked!

Hurrah! I'm so glad you like it, Irish. I'm on a one-woman crusade to get this book read. Smile

I'm on deadline this week, so I won't be reading anything--or posting here much either. I'm going to be writing like mad to get these articles in by Friday. When I finish, I'm going to reward myself by reading The Goddess of Fried Okra (an ARC) by the marvelous Jean Brashear.

I'll be reading Song of the Road by Dorothy Garlock. I think it might be part of a series, so hopefully I'll love it, and I'll have a new series to enjoy.

I started Sarah Mayberry's She's Got it Bad last night. It's an interesting reversal of the Bad Boy/Good Girl trope, with them starting out in the traditional BB/GG roles their teens, but then reversing into Bad Girl/Good Boy when they meet again in adulthood. And, as always, it's a rich, sexy read.

Behind Closed Doors: At Home in Georgian England by Amanda Vickery.

She's also the author of The Gentleman's Daughter: Women's Lives in Georgian England.

It is totally beyond fabulous. I was just reading of one poor guy in Beverley, Yorkshire, who was rich and well-born enough, but he had to propose to EIGHT different women before he was finally accepted. Apparently, he wasn't quite hero material.

I'm not what you would call a speed reader. It takes me quite a while to read a book, especially when you factor RL into the equation. Sometimes the only chance I get to read is before bed and then I'm usually exhausted. The point Irish! Yes, there is one. I bought To Tempt A Saint by Kate Moore at approximately 3:30 pm yesterday afternoon and finished it by 11:00 am this morning. This was an awesome read. Go out and buy this book and then tell your friends!

Thanks, Janga. I've really been in the reading doldrums lately. It was nice to feel that excitement as I turned the pages. I'm looking up her backlist, though, and it looks like they are going to be hard to find! Sad

Good luck on your articles!
