Eloisa, I don't know how I missed this little gem of a book. But I'm so glad that you brought it to our attention, because it is absolutely wonderful!!! It's so heartwarming, and it made me laugh and brought tears to my eyes. I really love this book, and I will likely re-read it in the months & even years to come. Thank you very much. I will now check-out her other books. Best to you. - Maribeth

A pity, but I dispute with this unique story. I actually do appreciate your particular internet page though and may keep moving back for update versions.

Don't skip the movie!! The same urge that makes me re-read all of Julia Quinn's books and yours delights in re-watching Gosford Park. Add in all those amazing British actors (Helen Mirren, Eileen Atkins, Stephen Fry, Alan Bates, Derek Jacobi, Clive Owen, Emily Watson...and I could go on!), if you're any kind of Anglophile you will nearly swoon with pleasure at watching them work. Do check it out, as I will the book reviewed, since a review from you puts on my Probably Buy list, and "screenwriter of Gosford Park" puts in on the GO NOW AND BUY! List.

This is one of my favorites in the Bridgerton series. It has everything --Lady Marbury, a Smythe-Smith concert, bickering Bridgertons (Hyacinth is a hoot & brother Gregory know just how to push her buttons). Anthony does an especially nice turn as the Protective Brother. There's even a 'cameo' by one of the minor characters in "How to Marry A Marquis" -- the first Julia Quinn book that I read!

I absolutely loved the entire Bridgerton series. You are right there is so much humor in this one. All of Julia Quinn's books have a bit of whimsy and can also tug at the heartstrings. I forget which one it is in, but the scene where Mrs. B talks about her husband dying from the bee sting just about broke my heart. You had a column about re-reading books-this series is definitely one of the best to do that with!

This whole series is incredible! I have read all her books, but unfortunately read them out of order. Oh well, they were still great.
